PE can develop and manufacture all kinds of stamping dies for producing a vehicle body. The dies can be for manual loading press, tandem press lines with robots, transfer lines or coil feed high speed blanking lines. PE also provides support for home line commissioning of the dies.

Skin Panels

PE manufactures tools for skin panels like door outers, roofs, tailgates, bonnets etc for passenger cars. Dies for such panels are supplied to customers outside Tata Motors to their satisfaction.

For Commercial vehicles PE manufactures Side wall outers, Body side outers, Front walls, Roofs, Door outers, Rear walls, Rear corner outers etc.

High Strength steel (HSS) / High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) panels / reinforcements

Automotive industry is increasingly using high strength steel so that bodies and structures can be built lighter, with lesser quantities of steel. There is increasing usage of Dual Phase High strength steel and high strength low alloy steel which have better mechanical properties than normal low carbon steels. Such panel materials tend to have great degree of difficulty in tooling owing to spring-back. PE has good expertise in handling such materials through its experience in stimulation and tryout of such materials.

Aluminium Panels

In the bid to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions weight reduction is one of the main methods. Advanced high-strength aluminum alloys can now completely replace steel owing to its favorable strength to weight ratio. Such panel materials tend to have great degree of difficulty in tooling owing to formability issues and spring-back. PE also has good knowledge for handling stamping dies for aluminum panel through its experience in stimulation and tryout of such materials in Jaguar X150 project.
